Campfires and S’mores Unit Study Includes:

Links to videos: Videos to learn about how campfires burn and about the history of s’mores.

Book Suggestions: Book suggestions about fires and how to make different kinds of s’mores.

Notebooking Page: Take notes and/or draw pictures about what you learn while you read books and watch videos.

Listening to Learn Activity: Parents read directions while children color, draw and write on a picture of a campfire with s’more supplies nearby.

How to Start a Campfire: Review the steps to making a good fire, then cut out the cards, and see if you can put them in the correct order.  Use the cards to then explain to someone else how to make a fire.

Hands-on Activities: Draw and make some pretend campfires, experiment with fire, build a fire, and make different types of s’mores.

Quiz: Assess what your children learned with a fun, short quiz.
