Looking for a fun way for your children to learn about US Presidents AND improve their listening and note taking skills at the same time? Grab this packet and pull out your colored pencils! Easy to implement in classrooms, resource rooms, speech therapy and homeschools.
This packet has 30 sets of following directions that teach you and your children about 10 different US presidents. The following presidents are included: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Ronald Reagan.
The first set of following directions for each president is about their life outside of the presidency and has you color and draw related pictures. The second set of directions is also about life outside of the presidency, and has you cut and glue the pictures from the first activity to make a scene about the president’s life. The third set of directions is about the president’s time in office and has you complete a notebooking page about each president.
Students will also work on language concepts such as left/right/center, top/bottom, and above/below. They will have the opportunity to follow directions with these concepts multiple times to improve mastery. One and two-step directions are included.
Instructions are provided to simplify the activity for children working at lower levels and to increase the difficulty for students who need a challenge.
