Description
This fun game will expose children to the concept of telling time and fractions and allow students to start to understand how minutes can be added together to make an hour or parts of an hour and how to make equivalent fractions.
A situation card is drawn at the beginning of the game and then players take turns rolling a dice to add fractions of an hour to their printable clock. In some situations, you want to make time fly and be the first to reach the needed time. In others situations, you don’t want the hour to be up and hope you are the last one to cover your clock. Best with 2-4 players.
Level 1 is for children who are beginning to tell time and provides situations where children have to fill the whole hour with the fraction pieces. (10 printable situation cards.)
Level 2 is for children who have some experience with telling time. It provides a situation with a start time for the children to set on their clocks and then either a number of minutes or the end time of the situation. Then, children need to fill that amount of the clock with the fractions pieces. (20 printable situation cards.)
